I never saw a look like what she gave to me today. 
The night had left her pale as the color ran away. 
The sun was slowly risin' on a world she couldn't find anymore. 

"Gather up your things", she said, "We're getting out of here," 
digging through the moments where we smiled. 
I tried to understand her but my heart won't let me walk out that door.
